A wonderful summer camp tucked back into the forest where kids can spend their days fishing and playing. But, things are not as perfect as they seem. The Camp Staff imprison the Campers in their cabins, though occasionally they let them wander to the pond or Mess Hall. There is a underground electric fence anyway, not like they can run.
The Camp Staff choose random Campers, now called Sarcs, who are then sent to the Arena. The Arena is a large expanse of woodland that is also fenced in. The woods are scattered with little hidden treasures- some bullets here, a gun there. The Sarcs must fight each other to the death, the ones who survive are then Counselors, who coach the new Sarcs.
Why does no one tattle to police? The Camper's parents are threatened, if they dare do anything their child will most certainly be chosen next. If a Counselor tells, they'll be forced back into the Arena. The Camp has it's own justice, and no one disputes that the Camp Staffer's word is law.
